Update: Kite Family Donation
First of all Thank You so much for the Kite Family and their generous donation of Lacey. Lacey was donated to Dogs for Law Enforcement in hopes that she would have a career as detection K9 for police department in need. God and Lacey had other plans. As soon as Triton and Lacey met it was love at first site. there was no doubt they were made for one another.
Please read the touching letter from Triton's mother:
"Hi, I'm Brandi Brignac. My son is Triton Bercegeay, the little boy that ended up with Lacey (yellow lab). Triton is a burn victim and has severe liver damage, nerve damage, and skin grafts, as well as chronic PTSD and now impulse control disorder. We have waited for six months plus to find a service dog and we watched Triton go down further every single day. The doctors and medicine couldn't help what was going on in his little brain, but Lacey has made a huge difference. She wakes him during night terrors, pulls him from daytime flashbacks, calms him down during a PTSD episode, and she watches him like a hawk. We didn't know what kind of dog we would end up with, only that we truly needed one for my baby. It was definitely love at first sight for Triton and Lacey. I can't say thank you enough for donating her. I realize she may not have ended where intended, but please know how important she is for my son. Lacey is literally Triton's lifeline & this girl is family to us all."
The Kite Family Donation:
Lacey, a 2 year old Labrador Retriever was donated to Dogs for Law Enforcement by the Kite Family of Rosharon, Texas. Lacey has started her training and we know she will be a valuable asset wherever she ends up. We would like to thank the Kite Family for their kind and generous donation and will update everyone on her status soon.
